August 26, 2009 in Spotlight
I am very happy to announce that Tobias, one of our own long-time JME community members (since 30. October 2006), has released his first commercial, absolutely top notch game! Mad Skills Motocross ring any bells? You might have heard of it already when he first announced it on the project board, or maybe you helped out with some cross-marketing and got your hands on a free beta? Naturally not everything went as planned and it seems set release dates came and went, but never mind that as it is here now and it is rocking!

Mad Skills Motocross game released
August 25th 2009.
Turborilla has released their very first title, Mad Skills Motocross. The small, independent developer lets everyone try a demo version of the game for free. They are confident that the sheer fun of the gameplay will turn tryers into buyers.Mad Skills Motocross is a sidescrolling motocross game that reminds of the golden days of gaming while also utilizing high-tech features. The game sports precise physical simulations, making the bike to rider interaction highly believable. It can be played on Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
Turborilla believes in social media, thus the presence of Mad Skills Motocross on popular social networks. Remarks such as the following are not uncommon where the game is present:
“This is possibley the best motocross game ever – James Dutton” ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mad-Skills-Motocross/58755926184 )
Updates for Mad Skills Motocross will be released continuously, the development does not stop just because the game has been released. -”That is the beauty of independent games, we do not rush on to the next project. We listen to our customers and keep on adding features according to popular wishes“, says CEO Tobias Andersson.

About Turborilla
Turborilla is an independent game developer and was founded in 2006 by Tobias Andersson. They are now two people working hard to bring joy into the gaming world and turn passion into games. The office is in Umea, Sweden and always open for anyone who wants to come by and talk about computer games. For more information and a Developer Diary, go to http://turborilla.com/
You better hurry off to their website right now and try that demo! And if you like it, why not just go ahead and buy it for $25.95? You will be supporting a fellow indie developer, and indirectly supporting the jMonkeyEngine by making one of it’s powered projects shine and encouraging Tobias to use it for his next endeavor, which will excite us all I am sure. Lastly, if there is any cool part of this project, technical or otherwise, that you would love to know more about, make haste and post your question right away and I might be able to include it in my soon-to-take-place interview with Tobias.
Major congrats to Tobias and his fellow developers for completing a polished and highly entertaining game, made with the Java Monkey Engine!

It is very nice game, i played demo and i quite enjoyed it but why so expensive 20€?? I this price I can get much longer game, look at prices on Steam there I can buy games like this in much lower price 5-10 €. I think 7 € would be OK. But congratulations for making decent game.
