jMonkeyEngine is a finalist in PacktPub – Say what!?

You heard it right. jMonkeyEngine is an Open Source Graphics Software Finalist in PacktPub‘s annual Open Source Awards. Sorry about the link-fest, but we figure this might be uncharted lands for our usual target audience.

It started as a simple “check this out” on the community forum. To be frank, I was not very hopeful, and it didn’t seem like the community picked up on it either. Yet somehow, here we are.

So a big thank you to all who nominated jMonkeyEngine for PacktPub in the Open Source Graphics Software category!

Update!

Something about Erlend Sogge Heggen

Avatar of Erlend Sogge HeggenI joined up with Kirill, thinking I'd lend a hand with basic site management and community building at a time when the project really needed it. A hobbyist partnership grew into a complete team. My role? I talk to a whole lot of people. Sure I do other stuff, but what I do most, and I think best and most importantly, is talk. How I and others see value in my jabbering is not easy to explain, so in the future I plan to talk more about just that.
