Priority Projects
Game Tutorial
A start-to-finish tutorial that details the making of a jME-powered game made from scratch is highly sought after. Internal examples include the jME1/2 based Flag Rush Tutorial and the jME3 early-alpha based Rolling Madness tutorial. Another good example is Unity3D’s Platform Game Tutorial.
Tasks
- Get this: Make a jME3 game from start-to-finish!
- Keep unconventional practices to a minimum.
- There’s never only one right way to make a game; Detail justifications for your implementations.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of jME3.
- Good English (just make sure to request the help of a friend of a community member if your English skills are lacking.
Video Tutorial
Whether you reiterate an existing tutorial or describe a whole new feature doesn’t matter: Beginners adore video tutorials, and we can never see enough of them.
Tasks
- Make sure to comply with best/common practices. It’s benefits everyone if you discuss your tutorial idea on the forum before committing to a recording.
- Record some “how-to” method inherent in jME3 or closely related to it.
- Describe your key actions either with annotations or voiceover (please make sure the audio is decent). If you’re not applying a voiceover, please attach an appropriate soundtrack to your video; dead quiet recordings are weird!
Requirements
- Basic knowledge in video -recording, -editing and -publishing.
- Basic knowledge of jME3
- Strong knowledge of illustrated topic.
